Sacroiliac pain affects the lower part of the spine that is connected to the pelvic arch. Pain in this area can be cause by several things to include inflammation of the sacroiliac joint, traumatic injury and degenerative diseases to name the most common causes. Treatment can include a Sacroiliac Joint Injection which consists of a steroid injected near the effected area requiring a minimally invasive procedure. The goal of this treatment is to relieve discomfort in the sacroiliac joint that is located near the lower back and buttocks.
